International Cartridge sponsored the live-fire demonstration. Frangible rounds were fired into a metal box, and the powder was collected to be shown to attendees. A frangible shotgun round being shot through gelatin mimics the effect on a human body. The cloud of dust can be seen behind the target. Royal Arms provided flash-bang rounds such as this that were launched from a shotgun. Ron Rogers of RUAG Ammotec gives a close-range demonstration of the company"s frangible rounds. A vendor representative gives a demonstration with a training weapon.

Nominated for a Pulitzer Prize for On Killing, he is a prolific speaker who served as an expert witness and consultant in the UNITED STATES vs. TIMOTHY MCVEIGH and has helped train mental health professionals after the Jonesboro school shootings. Special Address speaker Staff Sergeant David Bellavia spent six years in the U.S. Army, including some of the most intense fighting of the Iraq War. He was awarded the Silver Star and Bronze Star for his actions in Iraq, and was recommended for the Distinguished Service Cross and Medal of Honor for his actions in Fallujah. In 2005, he received the Conspicuous Service Cross (New York State's highest award for military valor) and was inducted into the New York State Senate Veterans Hall of Fame. He is the co-founder of Vets for Freedom, an advocacy organization of veterans concerned about the politicization of media coverage of military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.  As an expert on Middle East affairs and a frequent contributor to the Fox News Channel, He is considered one of the most decorated veterans of this generation.
